Southern Resident Killer Whale Awareness Project

I spent Inktober drawing each member of J-Pod, a group of critically endangered killer whales. These orcas are the most studied in the world, each with a unique marking behind their dorsal fin called a saddle patch. In my drawings, I changed the saddle patch to something more readily identifiable, a symbol related to the orca’s name.
